Weekly Round-Up for Week Two ~ Creative JumpStart 2014

Hi Everyone,

A full week of CJS2014 this week and I have loved every moment of it.

Jan 6th ~ Today was a Give-away day for Liquitex.

Jan 7th ~ Today was a 'Show & Tell" day. Show your favourite craft/art project for 2013.

Today was also a 'Give-Away" day for Luminarte.

Jan 8th ~ This morning I woke up to watch the lovely Carmen Sanchez. Carmen showed us how, when using an everyday candle you can create an amazing aged effect. Carmen showed us the technique on a small wooden box.

Jan 9th ~ This morning I woke up to watch the amazing Anna Dabrowska aka Finnabair. What can I say, except WOW. Anna is one of my most favourite artists of all time. The highlight for 2013 for me was the classes I took here, in Darwin, with her. She is a funny & amazingly talented woman.

Her video this morning was, as always, amazing. Her twist of turning it into a story was so funny, and the end product was gorgeous.

Today was also a 'Give-Away" day for StencilGirl.

Jan 10thThis morning I woke up to watch a lovely lady named Marsha Valk. Marsha Valk showed some very interesting things to do with a cardboard box. Such a different way in which to use such an ordinary, everyday thing.

Jan 11thThis morning I woke up to watch a fascinating lady named Dina Wakley. Dina showed us an amazing book, filled with many cool 'hardware' items. Today she showed us one way she uses 'joint compound', the stuff you use to finish plaster walls with. Very interesting indeed. This technique will have to wait though as we don't have any in the house at the moment.

Jan 12th ~ This morning I woke up to a lovely lady named Marjie Kemper. Marjie showed us a cool technique using masking tape and old lids and tops. I can't wait to try this one out. I'll come back and update when I get a chance to try this one out.

See you all again soon.

Love

Michelle
